I finally made it over to Mochilero Kitchen and honestly, this place stands out in a Scottsdale restaurant scene that can sometimes feel repetitive. The food feels intentional. You can tell they actually care about flavor profiles, texture, presentation, and authenticity instead of just throwing oversized burritos on a plate and calling it “modern Mexican.” The tacos were excellent, especially the al pastor and chicken tinga, and the margaritas were balanced instead of tasting like sugar…

We've been to this fabulous Mexican restaurant several times, and have never been disappointed! Please try the Premium Taco Trio - my go to is always the short rib, baja fish and shrimp diablo - so incredibly delicious. It is upscale, out of the box Mexican fine dining. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful place here in Scottsdale.

Ahhhhmazingggggg!!!!!! Service was top tier, food was top tier, atmosphere top tier! No complaints. They just opened a couple days ago and weren’t expecting to be busy tonight with the two servers they had their hands full. Our server was as attentive as she could be while helping 6+ tables. The guac and plaintain chips were fire🔥. I also tried the pork belly with guac and had the grilled marinated octopus and it did not disappoint! Wife and I stopped by while on vacation. It was kind of a spontaneous decision to go here. Turned out to be the best meal of our trip. Wife got tacos and I got a Carne Asada chimichunga. It was fantastic. I would have licked the plate clean if I wasn't so full from the generous portions. Cocktails were also fantastic and our server was extremely polite, helpful, and was on top of it. My biggest regret is that I don't live closer as I would be a regular here.

We came to Mochilero for our weekly Real Estate lunch group & all of us absolutely loved it, highly recommend it, beautiful decor, excellent Guacamole and Plantain Chips, the Carne Asada tacos 🌮 were off the hook delicious 🤤 I will most definitely be back soon!! The owner Jorge came out and was very kind and gracious to tell us about his restaurant. Thank you!
